1. The short version

• We collect as little as possible.
• The only personal detail we ask for today is an email address, and only if you give it.
• We use no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.
• We never sell or rent personal information.
• You can have your information deleted by sending one email.

2. Who we are

KuwaitMalls operates the website at kuwaitmalls.com and is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@kuwaitmalls.com about anything in it.

3. What we collect

Information you give us

• Your email address, if you ask to be notified when we launch. We also record which language you were using, so that we write to you in that language.
• Business and correction enquiries — if you email us to claim a listing or report something wrong, we receive whatever you put in that message, which typically includes your name, your email address, the business concerned and your role there.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our infrastructure provider records ordinary technical information for security and reliability, including your IP address, the approximate country your request came from, the page requested, the referring page and your browser type. With a waitlist signup we store the country code and the referring page alongside it, to understand where interest is coming from and to detect abuse.

We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other websites.

4. Why we use it

• To tell you we have launched — the single purpose of the waitlist. We rely on your consent, which you gave by entering your address, and you may withdraw it at any time.
• To answer you — if you write to us about a listing, a correction or a partnership, we use your details to reply and to act on what you told us.
• To keep the site working and safe — to prevent abuse of the signup form, diagnose faults and protect the service. This is in our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
• To understand demand — in aggregate, such as how many people signed up and from which country. This does not identify you.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

It stores one item in your browser's local storage, km_lang, which remembers whether you chose English or Arabic so the site opens in your language next time. It stays in your browser, is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Our infrastructure provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from malicious traffic.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

We share it only with:

• Service providers who run our infrastructure. The site, its database and its email delivery run on third-party platforms — currently Cloudflare — which process data on our instructions in order to provide those services.
• Authorities, where the law requires it — for example a valid order from a competent court or regulator, or where sharing is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim or to protect someone's safety.

7. Where your information is processed

KuwaitMalls is operated from Kuwait, but the platforms we use run on servers in several countries, so your information may be processed outside Kuwait. When that happens we use providers that apply recognised security and data-protection standards to the data they handle for us.

8. How long we keep it

• Waitlist addresses — until we have launched and sent the announcement, and then no longer than twelve months, unless you have separately asked to keep hearing from us.
• Email correspondence — for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and then for a reasonable period as a business record.
• Technical logs — for a short period, typically measured in days or weeks, as set by our infrastructure provider.

If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including the data-protection rules that apply in Kuwait, you may ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• delete your information;
• stop using it for a particular purpose, or withdraw a consent you previously gave;
• provide your information in a portable form.

To exercise any of these, email hello@kuwaitmalls.com from the address concerned, or tell us enough to identify your record. We will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the competent data-protection authority.

10. Children

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. How we protect your information

The site is served over HTTPS, personal information is held in an access-controlled database, and access is limited to the people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect what we hold, and we will tell you and the competent authority about a breach that affects you where the law requires it.

12. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the service grows — for example when accounts, saved favourites or merchant tools are added. The version on this page is the current one, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. We will highlight material changes on the site.
